Welcome to the first blog entry on the Singh & Kaur Introductions website. My name is Daljit Kaur, and I am the founder of this matrimonial service. I am working with a team of Gursikhs from around the globe to help Gursikhs like yourself to meet their life partner or Jeevan Saathi. We have put this platform together through the encouragement of Sangat and blessings of the Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. Although the platform is new, we have been helping couples and families come together for the last 10 years. With Guru Ji’s Kirpa, all of the introductions made are still continuing their Jivans together.
One of the drivers for this project is to help grow the understanding of the sanctity of the Anand Karaj and, its deep significance on a couple’s spiritual journey and journey through life. When discussions of marriage begin, they can cause anxiety and unease. We hope to help individuals and families address those anxieties and concerns and to make the whole process of finding a partner more intelligent, personalised and unique.
Now is a good time to invest in understanding yourself and what makes you happy. Knowing yourself will help us to pair you with the right suitable partner. It is also a critical time to have discussions with your family to understand their desires for you and your future spouse too. It is useful to know where some of their hopes and aspirations stem from. Marriage is not merely a union of 2 souls; it’s a union of two families, and it’s important to acknowledge this and set the right foundations.
